Anzac day free writing

Today I will be talking about my Anzac day free writing. If you want you could comment saying what I could do next, here is my free writing hope you like.

ANZAC DAY

“Eventually” we arrived at the museum and on Sunday 25th of April, we got in by car. We had to park on the grass because we weren't allowed in the car park or underneath the car park because there is more room underneath it. We walked up the grass hill and then we saw some big speakers that the person would speak with a microphone.

There was the Australia vice president there with the NZ ministry of health I think. After they talked for about 1 hour the soldiers were marching proudly for their family to see them. They also laid down some poppies for the soldiers who died, Some had medals and guns. 4 people had guns on them but they didn't shoot us.

There were 14 people that had bagpipes in front of the soldiers. After the band finished we were allowed in the museum. When We got into the museum, we got a drink. I got apple juice and a big chocolate cake but not really big, just medium, we shared it. After that I looked at some army officers that had medals.

We were only there to look at World War I and II and saw one of my uncle had some medals there too, after that I looked at the library because I wanted to know if I could search up my past family, and they all survived the war. I wanted to get a book out but you couldn't get one because other people want to read them too, but other libraries can because there is alot of 1 single book in the library.

There was a new part in the museum called the maori back in the 2000 and 1760, there was this thing that  you had to pull the rope and there was 3 difficulties the first one was 1 the easiest with 6 people helping you, the 2nd one is 4 people helping you then the last one is 2 people helping that's the one I did.

After all of looking at the museum we decided to go home because it was being kinda boring even though we can get a lot. I learned that the medal of honer is the highest because if you save someone in front of a machine gun you get the medal of honour. So then we arrived at home.

  1. I had fun being able to share this experience with you, as I had not been to an Anzac service either.
